Lack of an overall perspective and focus of the company's business development.
Did not fully support the persons responsible for the growth of the company.
Did not act on professional guidance given to them.

Unwilling to fund the growth process even though they had the capabilities to do it.
It is very apparent in observing companies today that some of the most critical problems in business development are found in the areas of: internal and external company communication, and customer service and retention.
